How it works: your browser asks Facebook whether a profile image exists for each ID. "Live" means an image resolved — it says nothing about the password or checkpoint status. "Dead" (genuinely gone or hidden) is the more trustworthy signal. If long blocks suddenly show "dead", Facebook is rate-limiting you — pause a few minutes and recheck.
